Shaping up with AutoShapes

Implementing diagramming in a browser was sure no easy task. There were numerous cross platform gotchas that made it a much larger task than initially anticipated, but alas it is live and functional!

You can create rectangles, ellipses, triangles, lines and more.

Once you've inserted an autoshape you can change it's fill color, line color, line width and line style and if it's a line you can even change it's begin and end styles. Pretty cool, huh? Okay, so what are you waiting for? Check it out already!

Unlimited Undo / Redo - A Big Job Done

We began working on implementing the undo / redo mechanism almost two months ago and now it's finally ready! Unfortunately, it turned out to be a pretty monstrous undertaking as it required reworking complex functionality located throughout the code base. I really hadn't anticipated that it would take a long as it did, but man am I glad it's done.

To undo or redo an action you can select the menu items Edit->Undo... and Edit->Redo..., or you can click on the corresponding toolbar icons, or you can just type Ctrl-X for undo and Ctrl-Y for redo.

If you like to spice up your slide shows with a little movement then check out the new Slide Transitions feature. Not only can you make your slides wipe, push and fade, but you can also set your slides to advance automatically after a specified amount of time.

As you can see, the Slide Transition dialog box is pretty simple, so you should up and transitioning in a matter of seconds.

Here's a not so short list of the currently available transitions:

I may get around to implementing some additional transitions on down the road, but I'm hoping that the current selection will prove sufficient for most users.

I just updated the production server with a handful of bug fixes. Following is a list of the five most important changes:

There are still quite a few bug fixes on my to-do list, but I'm knocking them out at a fairly good clip, so you should see a noticeable improvement in both stability and performance over the next few weeks.
